For all of those who have been doing VMworld for awhile should know that it’s just as important to do networking and socialize with the community as it is to get the technical updates, see VMware road map information, see vendor products, etc.
I missed last year but this time around I’m focusing on connecting with the community of customers, bloggers, vExperts and so on. So far it’s been great putting the names, mainly twitter or community names, to faces. Events like the vBrunch, VMunderground, vExpert meetings today were and are great events to meet up with other who are passionaite about technology and virtualisation before the madness because begins with VMworld. Everyone is very friendly so don’t be afraid to approach someone new, get the dialog going, and exchange some information. You never know where it could lead.
To show my appreciation for all the free beer and food at the VMunderground I wanted to list the sponsors and say thanks.
